Zoo Revue x Two

First adventure to the Toledo Zoo. Solomon was most entertained by the seals and monkeys.
It turns out that it's hard to take a photo that includes The Boy as well as the animals. Other points to note: polar bear cubs are awesome, and especially cute when nursing. Solomon did not love the goat at the petting zoo.
Had such a blast, went back a couple weeks later.
This time, buddy Natalie came along. Solomon could have spent the whole time gazing at the gazelles and giraffes.
Not a big fan of the warthog on a leash. Natalie kissed the pig.

Slip Sliding Away

Mommy and Daddy knew Solomon loved the slide. Being safety conscious parents, they always rode down with Solomon.
Until this day.
Glee is an understatement. Turns out The Boy doesn't even need a spotter at the bottom, although we weren't prepared to abandoned that post. He cried when we had to leave.
P.S. Go Tigers!

Second 4th

We celebrated our love of freedom with a parade. There's only this photo from the very start, because soon the firetrucks followed and The Boy found the sirens too much to bear. All in all, the parade was way too loud for him.
Later, we picked blackberries at friend Gabe's house.
It didn't take long for Solomon to learn to pick his own, thus cutting out the middle man (woman). The day ended with an elkburger cookout.
Gabe, his mama, Natalie, and her mama were great company (and their dads too, who were minding the cooler and grill).
