Inspired By Actual Events

My good friend, Mama H, has a blog for her swell baby, Fiona (click here ). Recently she posted photos of her family taking a hike in the redwood forest. While we don’t have colossal nature here, I decided to take Solomon for a picnic and hike at Parker Mill (click here ). If I do say so myself, I think my photos are infinitely more interesting than those on the park website, but mine feature Solomon instead of the mill. Also my photos were taken using a remote while the camera was either propped on a stump or handrailing, or hanging by its neckstrap from a branch. The county probably paid some professional to take their publicity photos. Solomon was captivated by the breeze, sights, and sounds of Flemming Creek. The day also lent itself to an act of heroism: a painted turtle with a death wish was cruising in the parking lot. Judging by its hissing, old paint didn’t appreciate relocation down to the creek. Stupid suicidal turtle.

Love the shots and journal of this day. I didn't know turtles hissed. Remember Sali's "Stumpy"? I'm changing my wallpaper to a shot of you two at the creek.

I think we're living parallel lives in two separate states. We spent last weekend going to the flea market while you were at the garage sale...

Hey- how do I make a link to your blog on mine?
